Edward Hickey is a native New Yorker who has been a top producing Real Estate Broker since 1991, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of New York real estate with over 26 years of experience, and hundreds of millions of dollars of sales in the New York City luxury Real Estate market. Ed joined Compass in October 2015, after working for many years at Meisel Real Estate, The Halstead Property Company, and Bellmarc Realty.
As a Seller’s Broker specializing in Coops and Condos, Ed provides a vast knowledge of selling skills and marketing methods to insure the highest price for his clients. Ed has also been hired as the exclusive broker for a number of Condominium developments. He also sells buildings, investment properties, 1031 sales, and commercial offices & retail stores.
As a Buyer’s Broker, Ed has navigated many clients through the unique New York City Coop purchase process. He is also an expert in the Downtown artist-in-residence zoning law, having sold and leased in many A.I.R buildings
Ed has been a Volunteer Service Dog Trainer for Project HEAL, designed to meet the needs of Veterans living with physical injuries, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Ed supports Swim Across America, and in the Summer of 2016 swam over 68 miles for their fundraiser. Ed also supports the The Hudson River Swim for Life fundraiser, benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Prior to his career in Real Estate, he was a professional photographer.
