DEER LAKE - A PARADIGM MOUNTAIN OASIS-HUNT, FISH, RENT!
Looking out to the fish pond from the front door, you will have a million dollar view! Just listening to the sounds of the woods, pond and the great outdoors, two deer - a doe and her fawn - snuck into my view! I was so entranced by the wonder of it all I didn't want to get off the bench under the covered porch! I could have stayed there for hours...luckily though I did get on the 4-wheeler and took a grand tour of the property - all 160 acres on the many very wide trails and got some amazing photos as you can see for yourself. I entered the cozy lodge (over 2100 sf according to the county assessor records) through the stylish wooden door and I was surprised by how luxurious it was. Granite counters throughout, wood siding/shiplap and tiled floors. The kitchen with an island is large enough to entertain a lot of family and friends, including a large dining table and room for seats at the island bar. There is a granite topped buffet too and granite and tile backsplash. Kitchen cabinets are hickory, plumbing fixtures are bronze. The ceiling downstairs is up to 18ft high. The fireplace surround is real stone and extends to the high ceiling. The light fixtures are modern mountain, with some ceiling fans, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer hookup, large den, large master, 2 nice sized bedrooms and a super large loft that sleeps a lot of guests. All bedrooms have large closets with the master having a walk-in. All doors throughout match the modern decor. There are 2 (two) full baths downstairs - one of which is en suite with the master's room. Furniture may be negotiable. There is electric, propane, a well and sewer with lateral lines in place. The metal cabin is well insulated with good quality windows - very low maintenance! It is nice enough you could retire and live here full time or just rent it out when you're not using it as a hunting lodge or weekend getaway. Again, the choice is yours. There are a lot of closets and storage, plus two garages - both with a large roll up door, accessed through the laundry room. The exterior is metal - well done with exceptional real stone - partially clad that blends in well with the woods and forest that surrounds it. There is a firepit area in front of the pond for campfires! The road access is really good and the access road is deeded with an electric gate. It isn't far from Clayton or Snow, OK or Sardis Lake so it is perfect for anyone in Oklahoma or Texas! Owners are leaving the deer stands/feeders- there are food plots too. We saw a lot of deer, including a very large buck, so the land is abundant with white-tail deer, turkey, bear, small game, ducks/water fowl and even a wild horse on occasion! There are large Bass fish in the pond for those who love to fish! The pond is large enough for a small boat too. There are creeks (wet-weather), even in drier conditions, pools of water are found in the creeks. There are ponds throughout the property and the deepest moss on the trees that I've seen in a long time. The forest land is accessible for hunting, hiking, horseback riding, 4 wheeling, etc. There are clearings throughout the woods and lots of trails. Another bonus is that this recreational property is also rented out at the Owners discretion and schedule! They rent it when they aren't using it themselves. The rental aspect has been very successful, and most who rent want to ride and hike the trails and fish in the lake!
