Four S Ranch, 965 Acres in Strawn, Texas

Four S Ranch is rugged hunting land, rich in tales of Comanches, coal, and cattle. This land has been managed to allow wildlife to thrive while also producing livestock with ease. Needed fires, from almost a decade ago, have cleaned up the prickly pear and provided a resurgence of native grass. The central portion of this acreage contains mature tree cover and ample browse for the abundant white-tail in the area. Walnut Creek meanders through the eastern section with towering oaks and elms scattered along the banks creating ideal turkey roosts. Walnut Creek is a part-limestone bottomed creek that runs seasonally with multiple holes of water; as well as a backed-up portion near the barns allowing just enough water for perch poppin'. The "Family Pond" in the back acreage is stocked with perch and largemouth bass to provide added fishing fun. Several ponds and small tanks have been created throughout the ranch to provide a multitude of water sources allowing the animals to stay on the property during the hot summer months instead of roaming elsewhere for water.
