The Pine Creek Mountain Pasture is a scenic summer grazing pasture with recreational opportunities. The property is unimproved, with no utilities and several rustic log buildings. The perimeter of the ranch is fenced with post and wire but may need repairs. The ranch consists of non-contiguous deeded land, made mostly contiguous by the BLM grazing allotment. The BLM grazing allotment WY10021 (Cloud Creek) is in three separate areas with each portion surrounding deeded land of the ranch. The portion of the B.L.M. allotment relating to the subject allows for 296 animal unit months of grazing. The ranch is owner-rated at 849 total AUMS, which includes one animal unit per 15 acres for 3 months on the deeded land and includes the additional 296 AUMs of the BLM grazing lease. The Pine Creek Mountain Pasture includes varied mountain terrain and land cover that provides good grazing and wildlife habitat. Land cover includes native grasses and shrubs in the open meadows and coniferous trees throughout. Elevations vary from 7,680' to 8,695' above sea level. Live water includes Pine Creek, which is a year-round water source. There are two springs that help fill two seasonal reservoirs. The water is adequate for summer grazing uses. The Pine Creek Mountain Pasture is in northwestern Natrona County in the southern end of the Big Horn Mountains approximately 70 miles northwest of Casper. Access to and through the area is primarily by Bighorn Mountain Road and 33 Mile Road, which are seasonally maintained graveled roads through this area. The area surrounding the subject consists primarily of a mix of large summer grazing pastures, public lands, and a few smaller recreational properties.
