How to Get Your Guest Blog Published on Our Site

We publish new content on this blog every week and send it out to thousands of social media followers and email subscribers (not to mention potential home buyers who browse our blog when searching for listings). Want to increase your site traffic and page ranking? Consider writing a guest blog post!

In exchange for well-written, informative writing, we provide an author bio to promote yourself and a link back to your site. Interested in increasing your chances of being published on the blog? Here are our top tips:

1. Think About Your Audience

You know you're an awesome real estate professional, and you want potential customers to know that too. That's great! Show potential readers your expertise by writing engaging, informative content on topics your ideal customers would be looking for instead of making your blog post all about you. Submissions that are simply an advertisement for your services and are not useful to our readers will not be accepted. Think about questions the buyers and sellers you work with ask you regularly, then write an article that answers one of those questions. This will make your blog more likely to be published and - when it is - it will make readers more likely to reach out to you.

2. Keep it Focused

When we say write an article that answers one common question, we mean just one. Blog articles on specific topics that are a reasonable length tend to get more views than blogs that attempt to tackle too much in one go. Choosing a more niche topic allows you to market yourself as the subject matter expert (and also keep your article at a length that won't bore your readers). Keep your article between 500 and 1500 words in length.

3. Stay Positive

Keep your article upbeat! Frequently, an article of helpful tips and insider tricks will do better than an article shaming customers for making mistakes.

4. Be Original

Articles covering topics we've already posted about are unlikely to be published on the blog. Make sure you scroll through the articles we've already published before you start writing to make sure you have a unique topic idea. In addition, please don't submit articles that are already published elsewhere on the internet.

5. Sharing is Caring

After your article is published, share it on your social media and tag our social pages! This will get more eyes on your article and help you get the most from your guest post. And don't forget to keep in touch! If you have additional articles, we're happy to take a look and see if they fit our blog.
