Watchcase is a signature example of historic preservation and adaptive reuse which includes 63 condominiums and amenities located in over 200,000 square feet. The rehabilitation protected the factory and site's historic integrity and respected its important position within the fabric of Sag Harbor Village while following best practices in green building. Cleaning and re-using over 30,000 original bricks, re-pointing of all of the masonry with historically correct lime based two color mortar and extensive repair and replacement of over 500 original southern yellow pine beams are only a few examples of the meticulous restoration.
