Fred Markham, or Freddy has had a very close link to the North Fork as well as Shelter Island for many years. He has summered and sailed the Bays since 1978 with his late wife Linda and their three children, very successful sailors in their own right. Fred was Commodore of Old Cove Yacht Club in New Suffolk for ten years and is responsible for founding Peconic & Gardiners Junior Sailing Association. He spent 33 years as a very successful Institutional Bond salesman at various Investment banks, he settled in Cutchogue permanently in 2005. In early 2008 he co-founded Peconic Permit Expediting to provide prospective homebuyers, homeowners as well as landowners through the maze of permitting with building departments and variance issues, Trustees, Waterways Boards, and the Department of Environmental Conservation. In 2011 Fred was inducted into the 2010/2011Daniel Gale Sotheby's Silver Circle of Excellence, an achievement few have earned. With his extensive background in sales and having spent the last year and a half working in the permitting arena, especially as it relates to real property, Fred has made the commitments to help clients achieve their real estate goals from beginning to closing.
