Located on Beaver Dam Creek in Screven County GA this property is the perfect getaway spot. The cabin is nice and snug with plenty of room to add on. The creek swamp sits right behind the cabin with great deer and turkey hunting. The creek itself is loaded with fish. A good road cuts from the cabin all the way to the creek with a great wooded area on a point that sits in the curve of the creek. LandComing in the driveway the first thing you notice are the huge crepe myrtles on both sides of the drive all the way to the yard. The drive and yard sit fairly level with the frontage road and the property drops off into the creek swamp from there. The swamp is full of big timber, scrub and cypress knees. There are several slews off the creek across the property that fill in high water including a beautiful slew right behind the cabin. The creek itself is a year round running creek that is teeming with panfish. The sandy banks and clear water make it something to see. ImprovementsThe cabin itself is really neat. It is a two story cabin with the bedroom on top. There is a deck on the second floor that overlooks the creek swamp. The screened porch on the back is a place that would be perfect for summer afternoon relaxation. There is a storage building, a pump house and a large pole barn big enough to fit a truck and a small tractor. RecreationHunting and fishing are what this tract offers. The property is in a great place for whitetails. Small game are what you would expect on a creek tract and there are some wild turkeys that frequent the property. The creek itself is one of my favorite places to fish. Species such as warmouth and red fin pike are still found in it along with all the other pan fish found in this part of GA. Region & ClimateThis tract is located about 6 miles north of Sylvania GA, a thirty minute drive to Statesboro GA or a hour drive to Augusta GA. Screven County is known for its great hunting and fishing areas. This property is very close to the big plantations on the north end of the county and would make a great lodge for hunters. Our winters here are fairly mild and our summers warm to hot. Screven County is a quiet county and a great place to live.
