Pope county 40 acres surrounded by Shawnee National Forest

In Pope county, off of Dutton Chapel Rd there is a small rock lane that goes about 1 mile into the Shawnee National Forest, when you get to my signs and see the post painted red, that's this beautiful piece of property. This is a rare rare find, 40 acres tucked into the Shawnee National Forest, camp there, hunt there, build a cabin there or even clear more and pasture horses there. This would be a great place to divide up and make 3-4 different camp sites. Put in solar or a generator and camp or live off the grid. The owner of the property did recently have the older mature timber cut, and there has to be 200 truck loads or more of seasoned firewood on the ground, easy to get to. Plenty of things to enjoy, deer, turkey, small game and birds are everywhere. Its not real steep, just right for walking. There are 2 small drainages that come from the top of the hill and run to the creek just off this property on the Shawnee. There's an old trappers cabin with a well and cistern that look to be 70-80 years old, and I can only imagine the things you would find if you took a metal detector around it. The property has red post and red tree paint so its really hard to get lost or be on the Shawnee without knowing. Its hard to find land like this, the National Forest will never sell any off!
