TK Starlite Drive-In Movie Theatre
The TK Starlite Drive-In Movie Theatre opened in Neligh, Nebraska in 1952 with "Cripple Creek", starring George Montgomery. Now it is the oldest and one of only two remaining drive-ins in Nebraska. It operates seasonally from April through September, showing new releases and double features on weekends. The 5+ acre theater accommodates about three hundred vehicles, uses digital projection, and broadcasts sound via 89.9 FM. Movie-goers come from miles around; the lot is full on the weekends. Customers enjoy the fun, vintage experience of driving up to a spot and settling in to enjoy a movie right there in their car, and love classic concessions like burgers, nachos, popcorn, and candy from the 1,020 square foot concession stand constructed in 2023. The Seller would love to see the legacy carry on. It is so special to this community and so uncommon that it really puts Neligh on the map. He hopes to pass the drive-in to a new owner, who is willing to keep this small-town tradition alive in Neligh.
