The famous Salmon River of No Return borders the property on the south and the FrankChurch Wilderness is just on the other side of the River. Colson Crk runs through the property and flows into the River and both of these waterways are visible from the house and yard. The USFS is to the north. There is an abundance of wildlife and steelhead fishing right from the yard. The confluence of the Middle Fork and Main Salmon River is just 3 miles down river and both are a huge attraction to river floaters. These are the things that drew us to this are many years ago. This is an "off the grid" area but in no ways resembles that type of home. We have all the amenities of city home. There is underground sprinklers, septic, internet phones plus all the modern essentials inside. The power comes from a 14kw Kohler generator, inverter, battery pack and solar panels. The water comes from a well for potable water and a community owned water system for irrigation. Heat is from a Jotul propane stove and hot water from an instant on Rinnai water heater. The home is completely custom built as well as all cabinetry, & hard wood flooring. Windows are by Pella. The master bath has a large glass, double headed shower which is separated from the toilet and vanity area. There is also a private deck off the master bedroom (which has a walk-in closet) that has an outdoor shower and antique clawfoot tub. The kitchen, dining and living room are all open with a vaulted ceiling and a beautiful view of the cliffs across the River. The loft has 2 large sleeping areas divided by a Jack and Jill bathroom and closets. The lower level is a daylight walkout basement with a constant temperature food room, a mechanical room, a bedroom (without closets) and a large shop/storage area. The yard is manicured lawn with mature trees, fruit trees, gardens and a large vegetable garden plot. A 26'X36' shop/garage is across the creek There is also a small, furnished, 1 bed, 1 bath cabin which would make a wonderful mother-in-law, guest or caretakers cabin. There are few properties like this that offer 360 degree views and sit right on the Salmon River. It is well worth the time to come and take a look.
